22nd edition of the Gblogblo saka rice festival, more than 2000 festival-goers expected in Gagnoa
With one month to go before the 22nd edition of the rice festival which will be held from July 23 to 25, 2026 in Gagnoa, the organizing committee is hard at work to offer the Goh region a beautiful festival.
All the pillars supporting the organization of this event are being scrutinized. This includes, in particular, the mobilization efforts and the establishment of the Doubehi village, named after the NGO that initiated the event.
The contents of this edition and many other equally important details are in the laboratory.
The organizing committee's motivation to make this event a success stems from a specific approach:
“To revive the traditions of our parents who celebrated rice at the end of the harvest.”
We have decided to make this practice permanent and formal and institutional.
That is why we have a patent, confided the general commissioner of the rice festival, Martine Grekou, as if to remind everyone that the time has come for unity and synergy of forces around the Gblogblo saka festival, the rice festival.
An event that will undoubtedly be rich in content: Parade of festival-goers, traditional dances, a culinary competition for local women and the ECOWAS community to suggest cultural diversity, integration and social cohesion.
For this 22nd edition, we can easily say without risk of being wrong that the machine is up and running
