A host of artists, a grand spectacle!
Building a renowned career, sharing experiences, feeling closer to one another.
This is the reason behind the creation of the " Gniambré " canton artists' association . For its official launch, the association expressed itself through a colorful show on Saturday, August 29th, in Barouhio.
Under the watchful eye of the village chief of Barouhio, Chief Ottro Sylvain , the guardian of customs and traditions welcomed such an initiative which, he said, bodes well for a better tomorrow.
Joël Zakri, son of the artist Zakri Noël, founder and president of this association, recalled the circumstances of its creation. According to him, it arose from the need to perpetuate the legacy left by their predecessors.
Taking turns on the podium, the artists shared their expertise through songs drawn from the depths of the Bété cultural heritage: “Zim Polo”, “Dougoutigui”, “Zakri Joël le fils de l’autre”, “Okou Ricki”, “Mireille Goz”, “Mata Premier”.
They all brought a special touch to the show, creating a connection with the fans that sparked a wave of promises from some local sons who intend to contribute to the best of their ability.
It was a great show.
