Abel Djohoré: From Sodexam to AIGF, the career of a public servant.
The Ivorian Frequency Management Agency (AIGF) has a new Chairman of the Board of Directors. This is Mr. Abel Djohoré Gbakayoro, formerly Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sodexam.
He replaces Brou Aka Pascal in this position. Reached by phone this Tuesday, May 5th, the new head of AIGF confirmed this information.
"The appointment is still very recent. The decree was signed by the Head of State," said Abel Djohoré, visibly happy with his new position after spending 6 years as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sodexam.
“It is a feeling of joy, satisfaction and above all of gratitude towards the President of the Republic, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara. I also express my gratitude to the Vice-President, the Prime Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister. I thank them for the renewed confidence,” added Abel Djohoré.
He makes no secret of his pride in having earned the trust of the country's authorities. For him, his appointment to head this state-owned company is proof that he is among President Ouattara's men. "I am honored to be among the executives in whom President Ouattara places his trust. We will never betray that trust," he promised, continuing.
"We will pray to Almighty God that this confidence not only remains but grows day by day."
After proving himself at Sodexam, the former MP for Ouragahio-Bayota is joining AIGF to bring his experience to this highly strategic structure in communication in Ivory Coast.
“We will work tirelessly to live up to the task entrusted to us. We hope that with everyone’s support, we will succeed in this challenge and earn more of the President of the Republic’s trust,” stressed the agency’s new Chairman of the Board.
It should be noted that the AIGF was created in 2012. Its main mission is to ensure the proper functioning of radio frequencies.
