Outgoing RHDP MP Yssouf Diabaté praised the smooth running of the legislative elections in the Gagnoa department.

It was on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the EPP Ghahio Degoué, a village in the commune of the said town, where he went to fulfill his civic duty at polling station number 2. "Unlike for the presidential elections where this center was relocated because of the incidents that occurred, this time I was able to vote in peace and I am happy to carry out this act," he said.

He then expressed his confidence in his victory and his commitment to representing his party with dignity in parliament. He therefore urged the citizens of the city of cheese to turn out in large numbers to vote at their various polling stations.

During this half-day of voting, various polling stations were visited in several neighborhoods, where the election proceeded peacefully under the watchful eye of law enforcement. Observers also noted the smooth running of the voting process. They followed the counting of ballots with the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) officials, ensuring strict adherence to the established procedures.

The local IEC's gamble paid off for the work done during this election day without any challenges from the candidates in the running.

The various candidates returned to their headquarters to await the proclamation of the provisional results for the Gagnoa electoral district.
