BACIM Prize 2026: The MP of Gagnoa sub-prefecture distinguished
For its 9th edition held in Abidjan on Saturday, May 30, the Bacim Prize (Building Modern Ivory Coast) was awarded to a host of personalities including the MP of Gagnoa sub-prefecture.
In this interview, Moussa Konaté expresses his feelings following the award ceremony: "I give glory to God."
You have just received an award. What prize is it?
This is the 2026 'Bacim' Prize for Resilience in Politics. This prize recognizes the efforts of individuals who have excelled in a specific field, such as politics, economics, sports, or culture. The common thread among all these individuals is that their actions contribute to the country's development.
This is now the second prize you've received from Bacim. What's your secret?
There's no secret. It's simply hard work, nothing but hard work and perseverance. The first award dates back to March 2024. This award recognized me as the best development agent. The second award, received this year, relates to my resilience in politics.
What are your feelings right now?
These are feelings of joy and satisfaction. I give glory to God. This prize is the culmination of the sacrifices made to improve the lives of our people. I am a fulfilled man.
To whom do you dedicate this prize?
I dedicate this prize to all those who, near or far, have supported me in the fight I have been waging for several years.
My goal is to restore hope to the people of the sub-prefecture of Gagnoa.
In saying this, I am thinking of the young people, the women, the men who placed their trust in my humble person to accompany me in the conquest of this administrative district.
It is to all of them that I dedicate this prize. For me, this prize is a challenge to a job well done.
This means that from now on I must redouble my efforts at work to deserve the trust placed in me.
Which other personalities have also received awards?
There were about twenty people who received the Bacim prize in various categories. Among them were members of parliament.
Specifically, those from Sipilou, Danané, Logoualé, and Gagnoa sub-prefecture, to name just a few. To this list must be added deputy mayors, and so on.
What are your final words?
I thank the 'Archange Communication' structure, the Bacim jury members and all the recipients.
