Gagnoa sub-prefecture: The deputy tackles development problems
6 months after his election to the National Assembly, the deputy of Gagnoa sub-prefecture, Moussa Konaté, spoke on Saturday with the people to identify their development problems in order to provide an appropriate response.
To this end, the elected official invited his constituents to a meeting in Koffi-Yaokro, a village in the sub-prefecture of Serihio. Various members of civil society took turns at the podium to share with the visitor the problems facing their respective sectors.
It appears that the sub-prefecture of Gagnoa needs a 'Marshall Plan' to escape its precarious situation. This includes resurfacing village roads, providing drinking water, extending the electricity network, empowering young people and women, issuing birth certificates, and building schools and health centers.
These are challenges that hinder local development. Faced with populations yearning for social well-being, the MP found the right words to speak to them. He immediately pointed out that several localities in the Gôh region share a common denominator: a lack of infrastructure.
Despite the government's efforts, he said, the problem remains. "The people have voiced their concerns.
We have taken careful note of these points. It is now up to us to pass them on to those who have the power to act so that lasting solutions can be found. I will be working on these various issues.
"We will address this urgent matter and resolve it as quickly as possible," promised the representative of the Gagnoa sub-prefecture in the assembly.
"I ask you to be patient, I will go to the authorities to bring you development. Because the role of a member of parliament is to lobby to solve the problems of the people," the elected official added.
He focused on the situation of school-aged children who lack administrative documents. He requested that these children be registered so they could be presented at the mobile court hearings scheduled for this purpose.
Clinging to the values of peace and social cohesion, the Honorable Konaté made a vibrant appeal to the sons, daughters and executives of the sub-prefecture, to unite around development.
To achieve this, the MP says he is reaching out to everyone. Together, they will work collectively to improve the living conditions of the people.
