Long portrayed as an idle youth rife with vices, the youth of the Zapata neighborhood are breathing new life into the area.
The youth of Zapata (a district of Gagnoa) have decided to build a new image for themselves through actions that will speak in their favor.
On Saturday, June 13th, she organized a cleanup day at the Zapata cemetery. The objective was to clean the final resting place of the ancestors and the various sectors of the Zapata neighborhood.
Namely Zapata Manioc, Zapata Résidentiel, Zapata Rosier and Zapata Olivier.
Apart from these actions, other actions are being carried out.
Promoting social cohesion through synergistic activities: a unifying cultural festival; a craft market; a multidisciplinary sports training center to give young people the chance to flourish.
A bridge linking Zapata to Libreville is also a wish of the community to be fulfilled.
These are all projects that are close to the hearts of these young people. It is precisely for this reason that they call their initiative Zapata Nouveau.
As if to describe the new breath of nature that hovers over Zapata.
