The Rally for Progress of the Mountain District (RPDM) held an extraordinary General Assembly this Sunday, August 9, 2026. President Feh Jonas reviewed the past year before outlining plans for the future.

The 300 members of the RPDM came from all corners of the mountain district to take part in this meeting. The discussions focused on the movement's achievements.

"The RPDM is established in Man, Danané, Taï and Guiglo," President Jonas proudly announced.

He is pleased to see that the organization, established on July 19, 2021, at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, is expanding its reach in the mountainous west. The objectives of this gathering are to strengthen social cohesion among the children of the mountain district while contributing to local development . Regarding the results of activities carried out on the ground, Feh Jonas notes the distribution of school kits in the commune of Logoualé in December, the donation of hygiene kits to the Guiglo hospital, and the distribution of traditional fabrics to women in the district. This socially significant act places the RPDM among the organizations working for the well-being of the population.

"It is a change of mentality that we want to instill in Ivorian citizens. Because we should not expect everything from the State before taking action in the district. We too can help the government in this work," taught the head of the RPDM.

He defines this structure as a group based on social values. It is from this perspective that he took advantage of this general assembly to launch an appeal to the people originating from the mountains and to all those who have an interest in them.

“We invite the sons and daughters of the mountain district to join us in achieving the goals of the RPDM, because unity is strength. Let us make social action our primary vision,” urged Jonas.

On his agenda is a visit to the orphanage in Man. In 2027, he plans to organize an entrepreneurship seminar for young people to empower them. It should be noted that the RPDM derives its financial resources from members' contributions.
