Dougroupalégnoa: Construction of the sub-prefecture, repair of the ambulance.
The Honorable Konaté takes charge.
Established as the capital of a sub-prefecture for several years, the village of Dougroupalégnoa, in the department of Gagnoa, is struggling to find premises to house the offices of this administration.
Adding to this difficulty is the problem with the village's health center ambulance. The vehicle has broken down and can no longer fulfill its intended purpose.
Namely, transporting the sick. These two major concerns were submitted to the local MP, Moussa Konaté, last Saturday.
This was part of a ceremony to thank the people for choosing Moussa Konaté in the last legislative elections.
Adji Benjamin , president of the economic and social development mutual of Dougroupalégnoa (Mudesdo), spoke on behalf of his people to ask the deputy to help them build the sub-prefect's offices and get the ambulance back in working order.
These grievances found a receptive audience. On the spot, the Honorable Konaté opened his purse to grant the sum of three hundred thousand (300,000) francs allocated to the start of the sub-prefecture's works.
Against two hundred thousand (200,000) francs for the repair of the broken-down ambulance.
"When I commit to the construction of the sub-prefecture, it is to save you from having to travel to the city of Gagnoa to obtain a birth certificate extract for your children.
There are several school-aged children without proper documentation. We need to find a solution through the construction of the sub-prefecture building.
"When I undertake the repair of the ambulance, I do not do it for the people of Dougroupalégnoa only, but it is for the benefit of the 22 villages of this sub-prefecture," explained the MP, regarding the motivations for his action.
An initiative welcomed by the villagers through blessings bestowed upon their benefactor.
He recalled that he had come to thank the driving forces of Dougoupalégnoa after the legislative elections which went in his favor.
“We are not here to claim a victory but to lay the foundation for our development.
"I want to thank everyone. Starting with the smallest citizen who contributed to this victory in the legislative elections," the elected official said.
Continuing, he called on everyone to live in harmony.
"The election is behind us. I urge you to maintain peace. I could not be elected if there were no peace and tranquility."
"Let's now think about development with everyone's involvement. Because it is together that we can succeed in our mission," the MP added.
It should be noted that Dougroupalégnoa is part of the Paccolo canton, whose chief is Noel Gnagno, a retired journalist.
